Mary Helen Jacobson

Mary Helen Jacobson, 69, resident of Superior, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 surrounded by her family at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Marquette, MI June 26, 1949, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Chartier) Nadeau.

She married Norman Jacobson May 27, 1972 in Marquette, MI and they were soon to celebrate forty-seven years of marriage this spring. She attended the Northern Michigan University for two years.

Mary worked in medical records at Memorial Hospital, as a bookkeeper for Oscar Johnson Reality, and as the RSVP Director for Catholic Charities. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Superior Moose Club #606, in Superior. She was a kind, compassionate woman who always wanted to help others, and shared her time volunteering at local nursing homes.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Norman Jacobson, Superior, WI; daughter, Nicole (John) Solfest, Fall Creek, WI; granddaughter, Ella Solfest; three brothers, David Nadeau, Superior, Gary (Becky) Nadeau and Clem (Denae) Nadeau; three sisters, Pat (Sandy) Nadeau, Eileen (Ed) Antilla and Joyce (Jim) Anderson, all of Marquette, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as Celebrant.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
