Mary A. Lundeen, 95, longtime Poplar area resident, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born in Superior on May 24, 1916, the daughter of John and Katherine (Golemic) Winek.
Mary was a member of the Wentworth Senior Center. She was a homemaker and cooked at several area restaurants.
Mary cherished friends and family and welcomed every opportunity for a visit.
She was a lady of few words as she was always interested in what you had to say.
She nurtured her relationships with people as much as she did her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. The fruits of her labor were always shared over one of her home cooked meals.
Mary’s legacy will live on in her family she loved so much. Her kind, caring ways have left everlasting imprints on everyone she touched.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to June from I Wish Healthcare for her continued support and Hospice of Essentia Health.
