Matthew J. Running

Matthew John Running, 58, was born on May 13, 1965, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Lloyd Running and Doris Running (Lempi). Matthew was the second youngest of eleven siblings: Sue Burstad, Gary (Janet) Running, Ron (Judy) Running, Diane (Scott) Peterson, Nancy (Brad) Anderson, Roger (Donna) Running, Greg (Shannon) Running, Lloyd (Richard) Carper-Running. Matt is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Running, brother Mike Running, and sister Cheryl Kent.

Matthew was a loving husband to his wife, Carla Running, and a devoted father to his stepchildren, Miriah Clasen and Tysen Mategko. He was also a proud grandfather to Charlotte and Owen Jorissen. He also had a companion named Teddy.

Matthew was an adventurous man who loved to travel and see new things. He was a lifetime carpenter who was also an over-the-road truck driver for Jeff Foster Trucking, who over the years, had driven almost two million safe miles. He was an avid movie watcher and enjoyed having a good breakfast.

Matt could be very stubborn at times. But he was a strong man who would have done anything for anyone.

Matthew passed away on October 28, 2023, in Superior, Wisconsin after a long battle with cancer. He was a loving family man, whom all his family and friends will deeply miss.
