Michael John Kurki, 59, former Superior, WI resident, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Mesa, AZ. He was born the son of John and Claudia (Harris) Kurki on July 19, 1965 in Kenosha, WI.
He graduated from Northwestern High School. He was employed by as a welder/fitter for Barco Hydraulics and Genesis Attachments.
Mike loved fishing for walleye on Allouez Bay. He enjoyed riding his Harley and later, an Indian Scout. For fun he worked on cars and trucks and took pride in the number of older muscle cars he had owned. Mike was known for being a selfless, kind man who would take the shirt off his back to help someone. Most of all he loved his family. Spending time with his children was the most important part of his life.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Kayla Kurki, New Richmond, WI; son, Cody Kurki, Superior; and sister, Carole Kurki, Duluth, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Denise Kurki Meyer.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
