Michael J. Luostari

Michael J. “Mike” Luostari, 55, passed away at his residence in Maple, WI, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, after a lifelong battle with alcoholism. Mike was born on February 2, 1968, in Superior, WI, to Marvin and Rose (Morissette) Luostari.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors and especially like cutting boughs in the fall. In his early years, he spent time traveling and working construction in Alaska, Hawaii, Missouri, and Poplar, WI.

Mike had a great sense of humor, was loved, and will be greatly missed by his sister, Sherri (Larry) Hendrickson; brother, Bill Krawczyk; nephew, Erik Alholm; nieces, Amanda Mitchell, Ashley (Chris) Kujava, Jennie Luostari, Cassie Luostari, and Kristina Krawczyk; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Luostari, and several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Fred Luostari.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Mike’s cousin, Jim (Becky) Ronning, for being close to Mike and for the assistance they provided in his life. Also, special thanks to the first responders, police officers, Medical Examiner, and Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home for their compassion and help during this difficult time.

Per Mike’s wishes, there will be no service. His family will celebrate his life at a later date.
