Michael Sanders

Michael “Mike” J. Sanders, 62, longtime Superior resident, died Friday, June 22, 2018 in Burnett County on Highway 35 from injuries resulting from an automobile accident. He was born on February 6, 1956 in Superior, WI to Edward F. and Dorothy (Trettin) Sanders.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School and was a millwright for Harvest State Co-op for many years. Mike married Wendy Midbon on September 15, 1984 and they celebrated thirty-three years of marriage. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife, Wendy and daughter Carly. Mike was always fixing things and never had idle hands. He loved taking golf cart rides down the Osage Trail.

Mike is survived by his wife Wendy; daughter, Carly Sanders, Superior, WI; son, Dylan Berthiaume Sanders, Green Bay, WI; sister, Carol Krawza, GA; brother, Mark (Denise) Sanders, Superior, WI and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Sanders and sister Shirley Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home and continue until the 12:00 PM Time of Remembrance service with Pastor Jack Swonger officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray, Curt, Art and Dale Midbon, Greg Katzmerek, Scott, Cristopher and James Sanders.
