Nancy J. Bergstrom
Family. Faith. The Green Bay Packers.
If you were to ask Nancy Bergstrom what mattered most to her, these three things would undoubtedly top her list. Whether she was playing cards with her kids, cheering on Aaron Rodgers, or kneeling in silence as she said the Holy Rosary, Nancy put her entire heart into what she loved. Her energy and work ethic combined with her strong family values are what she will be remembered for. If there is any woman who provided a solid foundation for her family, it was Nancy. After eighty graceful years on this earth, her courageous battle with cancer finally came to an end. Nancy died on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Solvay Hospice House, surrounded by her six children and their father, who loved her beyond words.
Nancy’s story began on September 22, 1936 when she was born in Superior to Robert J. and Elizabeth (Barker) Brannan. She was a graduate of the former East High School in Superior. While raising six children, Nancy continued to put her culinary gifts to use as the owner of Dreamland Supper Club, which she ran for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and her faith in God was a central part of her long, fulfilling life.
Nancy left an incredible legacy and will be missed by many.
