Nancy K. Lisdahl

Nancy K. Lisdahl, (89), lifelong resident of Superior, passed away on May 13th, 2025, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. She was born on May 27, 1935, the daughter of William and Bernadine (Dolly) (McCabe) Nault.

She was a graduate of the former Central High School in Superior.

Nancy was united in marriage to Donald L. Lisdahl on November 6,1954 in Superior. They celebrated many wonderful years together before his passing in 2012. They also raised seven beautiful children who Nancy was fortunate to stay home and raise. She did spend many years working for Prange’s/Younkers in Superior before retiring.

She was a longtime member of Cathedral of Christ the King, the Red Hat Society, Superior Retired Firefighters, Catholic Daughters and former member of the St. Louis Catholic Parish. She also volunteered for many years in the Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church kitchen, serving for funeral luncheons.

In her free time, Nancy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially on Sundays after church and at the family cabin on Deep Lake in Iron River, WI. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by six of her children, Donald Lisdahl Jr, Dale (Vicki) Lisdahl, Darrell (Laura) Lisdahl, Vicki (Jeff) Olson, Brian Lisdahl, and Jennifer (Shawn) Christianson; eighteen grandchildren: Donald Lisdahl III, Andrew Lisdahl, Jennifer (Tyrone) Tharge, Nickolas (Shannon Staples) Lisdahl, Amy (Steve) Kimmes, Chad (Robin) Lisdahl, Cory (Nicole) Lisdahl, Lee (Beth) Olson, Alex Olson, Jamie (Kyle) Bates, Ashley (Brad) Ford, Jessica (Jeff) Geottl, Rian (Michelle) Lisdahl, Karlie Lisdahl, Kendra (Greg) Johnson, Ty (Taylor) Christianson, Weston Christianson and Shay Christianson; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister Claudia Houle; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Donald; son Douglas Lisdahl; brother William Nault; and sister-in-law and special friend, Jean Brittan.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
