Nancy E. Loughren

Nancy E. Loughren, 73, longtime resident of Barnes, WI died peacefully Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Hayward Hospital in Hayward, WI with her family by her side.

She was born in Superior, WI on July 7, 1948, the daughter of John and Hellen (Wahto) Charles.

Nancy was united in marriage to John Loughren on April 6, 1968, and they celebrated 53 years of marriage before her passing.
Nancy enjoyed her time working with disabled adults as a Coordinator at New Hope Center in Dolton, IL.  She was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and in her spare time she loved gardening. Nancy also enjoyed ice fishing with her husband, John. Above all, Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Loughren, Barnes, WI; sons, David Loughren, Gary, IN, and Paul (Lexi Bartels) Loughren, Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Caroline, Zachary and Jacob; sisters, Deborah (Michael) Endres and Cindy (Don) Harju; and brothers, Brad, Brian, Mark, Jeff and Kevin Charles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John Gregory.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff on the Med-Surge Unit at the Hayward Hospital for the wonderful care they provided.

A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E 5 ^th Street, Superior WI.
