Nathan Anderson-Harkreader, 18, resident of Superior, WI passed away unexpectedly, Monday, April 6, 2020 in Fort Bragg, NC. He was born in Duluth, MN, May 25, 2001, the son of Sarah Anderson and Henry Harkreader.
Nathan graduated from Superior Senior High School in 2019, and went on to serve his country honorably as an active duty United States Army Airborne Infantryman.
He was athletic and loved all sports and the outdoors. He had a Junior Black Belt in Karate and loved football, wresting, and track and field, especially the hurdles. He was an avid hunter and loved going out to the country to do many types of hunting. He also had a talent for playing the bare saxophone in high school.
Nathan’s presence lit up a room and he had an extraordinary ability to connect with all people. He touched the lives of so many in the short time he was here, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sarah (Dustin) Quade, Superior, WI; father and step-mother, Henry (Lindsey) Harkreader, Duluth, MN; paternal siblings, Jaiden, Andrea, Lily and Henry; maternal grandparents, Donald and Julie Anderson, Maple, WI; paternal grandfather, Bruce Harkreader; some very special step-grandparents; and many other very special aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, coaches and friends that were all dear to him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nancy Norbotten.
A Celebration of Nathan’s Life will be held from 1-3:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Maple Baseball Field, 11185 Heino Road, Maple, WI, with a Time of Remembrance Service to begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor John Knierim officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required. Should weather not permit outdoor service we will move to the Maple Community Center.
Friends are encouraged to share memories of Nathan both in person and on index cards that will be provided at the service.
