Nicholas J. Neve

Nicholas J. “Nick” Neve, 28, resident of Proctor, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in his home. Nick was born in Duluth, MN on November 2, 1995, the son of Patrick J. Neve and Ann (Certano) Sweet.

He grew up in Esko, MN where he attended Esko High School, graduating as a valedictorian in the class of 2013. He then attended the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

Nick was an amazing person in every aspect of life. His love and generosity towards others was endless and his intellectual achievements were matched by his passion for sports. He loved golf and was on a course whenever he could. He was also an avid fan of professional and college sports, and especially loved his Minnesota teams, the Vikings, Timberwolves, and the Wild. One of his other favorite things was attending his nephew’s sporting events in Proctor.

He was so very loved by all and will be forever missed by his mother, Ann Sweet; stepfather Roger Sweet; brothers Jesse Musech (Kika Bukowski), Justin (Laci) Sweet, Tyler (Bailey) Sweet, Chad Neve (Jessica Hansen), Darren (Sam) Spears, and Andrew (Kelsey) Habnegger; sisters Ann Berglund (Eric Nolan) and Stephanie (Mike) Baasch; and his puppy and best friend, Brooks, who was by his side till the end.

Nick is preceded in death by his father, Patrick J. Neve and his grandparents Aldo and Patricia Certano and Jim and Amanda Neve.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Oak Street Chapel, 523 SE 11th Street in Brainerd, MN, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Todd Wooden officiating.
