Norman Severin, 81, Town of Parkland, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Hospice Unit, Duluth, MN.
He was born on January 27, 1931 in Superior to Peter and Ema (Royal) Severin.
Norman was a member of the local contractors union. He liked working on motors of any kind, hunting, fishing and he helped build several homes for his family. He enjoyed going to the East End Café for coffee first thing in the morning and just before noon.
Norman is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Jay Pettit) Zawacki, Minnetonka, MN; four grandsons, Michael (Beth) Degand, Sycamore, IL, John Caulfield, Minnetonka, MN, James Caulfield, Apple Valley, MN, Nick Zawacki, Minnetonka, MN; three great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Dakota and Samantha; three sisters, Delpha, Loretta and Barbara; two brothers, Stan and Lyle and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ella June; his parents and brothers and sisters.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM until the 6:30 PM Memorial Service on Friday, September 14, 2012 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, officiating.
