Oscar E. Muench

Oscar E. Muench, 62, lifelong Superior resident, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Essentia Health St Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.


He was born on May 8, 1951 in Superior to Oscar and Molly (Okash) Muench.

Oscar graduated from the former Central High School in Superior.

He owned/operated the former Molly’s Tavern with his mother and was an antique dealer.

Oscar is survived by three aunts, Dorothy Gamsa, Mary Campbell and Lorraine “Cookie” Panyon; several cousins and friends and especially his canine companion his German shepherd.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Time of Remembrance - Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.
