Patricia E. Erickson

Patricia E. Erickson, 96, longtime Superior, WI resident, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Superior, WI. She was born on March 17, 1921 in Superior, WI to Frank and Olive (L’Herault) Murray.

She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1938 and 1941 from St. Mary’s Hospital X-Ray program. Patricia was employed as a Radiology Technician for the Giesen and Superior Clinics for many years retiring in 1992.

She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1190, R.S.V.P. with the Catholic Charities. She also was a volunteer at the St. Francis Nursing Home in Billings Park.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Mary (Rich) MacNeil, Iowa City, IA and Margery (Peter Pitsch) Erickson, Northern Virginia; four grandchildren, Adam, Leslie, Geoffrey and Madeleine; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Muriel Jaksch, Franklin, WI and several nieces and nephews including special niece, Barbara Cooney.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, brothers Claire and Richard Murray and sister Ruth Rock.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Cathedral School.
