Patricia C. Lien

Patricia “Trish” (Fleck) Lien passed away peacefully on February 24th, 2024, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Superior, Wisconsin at the age of 70. She was born on September 5, 1953, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Colleen (Murphy) Fleck.

Trish graduated from Duluth East High School in 1971. After graduation she worked as an operator for Northwestern Bell. She continued her work in telecommunications with USWest, and Qwest before eventually retiring from Century Link in 2015.

Her life revolved around her family. She had a special connection to her grandchildren with whom she would share her love of crafting and the outdoors. She would find a way to enjoy the outdoors no matter the season, but she was particularly fond of the summer months, where you would find her hiking, swimming, or enjoying the weather on a boat or in a canoe. She loved cabin life during the July 4th holiday. In the winter, she loved to cross country ski, snowshoe, and go on short snowmobile rides. Patricia loved her Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, raising her first Maggie May, while still living in Duluth, to eventually breeding many while living in Forest Lake, MN.

Patricia was a wonderful mother, grandmother (Mimi and Grammie), and sister. She will be missed dearly by her children Sonja Gingerelli and Joe Gingerelli (Terri); grandchildren Zoe Glynn, Giuliana Gingerelli, and Dominic Gingerelli; great-granddaughter Mia Jo Edwards; sisters Michele (Brad) Babb, Margaret Fleck, Mary Fleck, and Jean Dummer; brother Robert (Melissa Klein) Fleck; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 12:00 with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
