Patricia "Patsy" Pearl O'Kash

Patricia “Patsy” Pearl O’Kash, 80, lifelong Superior resident died, Monday, November 5, 2018, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Superior, January 13, 1938, the daughter of George M. and Madeline P. (Anderson) O’Kash.

Patsy attend the former Duluth Beauty Academy. She tended bar at Burkes Bar for many years. Prior to that she worked at Kemp’s Seafood for fifteen years, Duluth Scientific, and the previous Chung-King Factory. She also worked at Captain Cliff’s Lighthouse Tavern, where she was well known around the North End.

She was a member of St. George’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Gary New Duluth. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and many friends. She was most proud of her “very loving and caring son”.

She is survived by her beloved son, Todd O’Kash, Superior; grandchildren, Damon Valade and Kamron Pittman; great-grandchildren, Ayana and Isaya Valade; brothers, Michael and Nick O’Kash; special niece, Julie Lukas; and several other nieces, nephews and family; and special friends, Patrick and Wendy Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Abigail “Abby”.

Patsy's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital CICU, for the love and care they provided Pasty and her family during her stay.

A Time of Remembrance will be held at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
