Paul A. Kinsel, 62, Cable, WI resident, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. He was born in Morrison, IL on May 5, 1958 to Loren and Margaret (Paulun) Kinsel.
He graduated from Ironwood High School in 1976. Paul was a self-employed carpenter. He leaves behind a legacy of artistry and beauty. Paul spent his life building beautiful homes that others continue to live in and enjoy. He specialized in incorporating organic tree trunks and branches into his stairways. He made whimsical furnishings that brought nature inside the homes he constructed. His ideas and craftsmanship are now incorporated into the lives of the occupants who call his work “their home.” He married Marie Jamison on July 18, 2009 and they celebrated twelve years of marriage.
Paul was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening and was a keen observer of nature. He felt at home in the woods and loved to share his stories with anyone who would listen. He was funny, kind and generous and will be sadly missed.
Paul is survived by his wife, Marie; his two sons, Gunner and Zack Peterson; two daughters, Terry Kinsel and Kelly Kinsel; grandchildren, Jade, Julie and Kyle; brother, Dennis Kinsel; sister, Linda Kinsel. He is preceded in death by his parents.
