Paul M. Larsen

February 14, 1945 — October 6, 2023

Paul M. Larsen, 78, a resident of Morgan Park, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 6, 2023, following a motor vehicle accident in Duluth, MN. He was born on February 14, 1945, the son of Astor “Mel” and Ruth (Rydberg) Larsen.

Paul grew up in Proctor, MN and graduated from Proctor High School in 1963. After high school, Paul learned to be a carpenter at FL Salter trade school and was employed as a carpenter at Hermantown Lumber for fourteen years. He also served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.

Paul was a proud and God-fearing man who loved spending time with his family and enjoyed wood working. You could often find him at rummage sales in the area and he was always participating in local auctions. He was most proud of the sports memorabilia he had collected over the years. In his early years, Paul owned and operated Paramont Kennels, where he bred and showed purebred Collie’s and was very successful with the help of his family. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Tamara, Tiara, Tanya, Scott (Candy), and Jason Larsen; grandchildren Alyssa (Tyler) Larsen, Tyler Budisalovich, Savana Budisalovich, Terrell Larsen, Devonte Larsen, Elijah Larsen, Desmond Larsen, Navarra Larsen, and Matthew Larsen; brother Craig (Linda) Larsen; mother of his children Valerie Larsen; and special friend, Jackie Peterson.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Mel and Ruth; brother Neil Larsen, maternal grandparents Ella and William Rydberg; and his paternal grandparents Anna (who was a Titanic survivor) and William Larsen.

A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at a later date.
