Phyllis A. "Adair" Quam

Phyllis A. “Adair” Quam, 78, resident of Superior, WI, died peacefully Thursday, August 23, 2018 in her home. She was born in St. Cloud, MN, September 9, 1939, the daughter of Charles and Phyllis (Raabe) Roberts.

She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1957, and was employed by SWL&P.

She enjoyed her years spent as a homemaker raising her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Adair was a member of Bayside Baptist Church in Superior. She also spent time in Las Vegas where she was a “California Club Hostess” and “Smith’s Change Girl”, and in Arizona where she was a member of Velda Rose Methodist Church.

She was active and volunteered in her community and will be remembered for her giving spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Robert Brown) Naeyaert, Superior, WI; sons, David (Sheila) Johnson, Waterville, OH and Daniel Johnson, Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Ian, Bryan, Ryan, Hugh, Steven, Jordyn, Julane, Mikaila, Belle, Katlyn, Desiree and Michann; brother, Charles Roberts; and nephews, Buster and Matthew Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Quam; son, Robert Johnson; grandson, Taylor Thompson, and his mother Kathy Thompson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, with a Memorial Service at 5:30 PM with Interim Pastor Thomas Busch officiating.
