Randy E. Davern

Randy E. Davern, 62, longtime Superior resident, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN following a brief illness. He was born in Superior, WI, May 7, 1958, the son of Earl and Teresa (Meyers) Davern.

He graduated high school and worked as a driver for Como Oil and Super One Foods for many years.

Randy was united in marriage to Janice Nord, August 10, 2019 and they recently celebrated their first year of marriage before his passing.

Randy was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior. He loved to hunt, fish and cook, and loved to ride his Harley. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his family beyond measure. He will be dearly missed by all.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Jan Nord Davern; mother, Teresa Davern; daughter, Jenny; step-son, Justin (Amber) Male; brother, Rick (Judy) Davern; sister, Robin (Rob) Ek; six grandsons as well as, nine nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Davern; and brother, Bobby Davern.

The family would like to staff at Essentia Health St. Mary’s CVICU for their wonderful care.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
