Richard "Dick" Nicholas went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday July 24, 2019. Born August 7, 1943 to Robert "Bob" and Cora Nicholas in Superior, WI. He was the oldest of their 5 boys. Ron (Jill) Nicholas, Ernie (Roberta) Nicholas, Norb (Pam) Nicholas, Dan (Shelba) Nicholas.
He married the love of his life Catherine (formerly Brayden) Nicholas on November 25, 1967 in Lake Nebagamon, WI. Richard believed family was most important which was evidenced by the time he spent cultivating relationships with his wife and children/grandchildren, his brothers and cousins. When he wasn't able to visit in person he was good about calling and great about writing letters and stories to share. He was always willing to share stories of life on the farm and memories of family members past. He also wrote fun fictional stories as well as informative pieces on events/subjects that peaked the interest of his reader. He was intrigued by his family's genealogy and even discovered some royal roots.
