Richard Allen Edquist

Richard “Rick” Allen Edquist, 78, of Superior, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born on March 1, 1947 in Superior, Rick was the son of Eleanor (Rice) Luostari and Ivan Dick. He lived most of his life in Superior and spent his childhood in Lake Nebagamon.

Rick married the love of his life, Kathleen Ann Connolly, on August 26, 1967 and again on June 9, 2001. They were together for nearly 50 years before her passing in 2015.

He worked for several companies while dreaming of owning his own business. In 1991, he was provided the opportunity to purchase Martin Carlson Trucking, and shortly after RAE & Grandson Trucking was born.

Rick was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed shooting pool, and watching dirt track racing-favoring Gondik Law Speedway. Most importantly, he loved and cherished his wife, his girls and being the best bumpa to his adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard is survived by Danette Krosko, Traci (George) Kiggins, Kristi (Mark) Anderson, and Mandi (Carlos) Jimenez; grandchildren: Richard (Monica), Randi (Tom), Katie (Joe), Krystal, Robert, Troy, Devin (Veronica), Brandon (Marie), Kaylee, Ryan (Sierra), Adrian, Bonnie, and Tony; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years; parents; stepfather, Elias “John” Luostari; father and mother-in-law, William and Doris Connolly; sister, Jeanette Kauti, sister-in-law, Nancy Connolly; granddaughter, Mercedes “Sadie” Jimenez and beloved trucking sidekick, Shadow.
