Richard H. Riedasch, 96, Superior resident, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at New Perspective in Superior. He was born on July 1, 1921 at the family home in South Range, WI to Vern and Mable (Korupp) Riedasch.
Richard was the billing supervisor for the Great Northern Railroad for twenty-five years retiring in 1970. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, Lutheran League advisor and did many Bible studies. He also was an avid knitter. He enjoyed coaching youth sports in hockey and baseball.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mae, his parents Vern and Mable and brothers Don and Gene Riedasch.
Richard is survived by two sons, Richard W. (Jean) Riedasch, South Range, WI and Scott Allen (Ann Marie) Riedasch, Blanchardville, WI; three grandchildren, Erik (Erin) Riedasch, Madison, WI, Jill (Kord) Schull, Portland, OR and Christopher (Jenny) Riedasch, Madison, WI; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Gustafson, Waupun, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church and continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Michelle Rowell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Superior.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Richard’s name to the Concordia Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
