Richard J. "Dick" Larson

Richard J. ”Dick” Larson, 72, longtime Duluth/ Superior area resident died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 4, 1942 in Superior, WI, the son of Donald L. and LaVerne (Carlson) Larson.

Dick graduated from the former East High School, Superior in 1960.
He served his Country in the United States Army.

Dick loved History; he was a charter member of the “Larson Raiders”.
He was owner and operator of Nemadji Mobile Home Park and camp ground with his wife Cindy for over thirty years.

Dick was an avid black powder enthusiast an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

He loved sports especially the Greenbay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Dick married Cindy Swenson in Superior and recently had celebrated thirty-four years of marriage.

He was an active member of Electrician Union, IBEW, Local 242 and worked through them as an electrician.

Dick is survived by his wife, Cindy; one daughter, Mischelle Larson, Superior; one son, Chris LeMay, Superior; one granddaughter, Connor Larson-Pearce, Superior; one sister, Donna Lou (Clarence) Tollefson; two brothers, Donald R. (Shirley) Larson and Gary L. (Carol) Larson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Superior and will continue until the 12:00 Noon, Memorial Service with Pastor Will Mowchan, officiating.
Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
