Richard S. Raivala, 80, Superior, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 7, 1932 in Duluth, MN to Samuel and Wilma (Saaski) Raivala.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a self-employed auto body man. Richard was also employed as a security officer with Midwest Patrol.
Richard is survived by one daughter, Sheri Raivala, Duluth; five sons, Jim (Kathy) Raivala, Elk River, MN; Jerry (Nancy) Raivala, Superior, Larry (Ella) Raivala, Williams, AZ, Terry Raivala, Mesa, AZ, Perry Raivala, Superior; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Pastor Darrell Kyle will officiate and where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
Inurnment will be in the Iron River City Cemtery
