Richard "Rick" A. Brill

Richard A. “Rick” Brill, 44, Superior resident, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 from injuries he sustained from an accident in Hermantown, MN. He was born on October 7, 1970 in Superior, WI to Roger and Jann (Hofberger) Brill.

He graduated high school and from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with Business and English Degrees. Rick was completing his Masters Degree in Business at the time of his death.

Rick was the director of the I.T. Department at the Business School of Business at UMD.

He married Toni Winslow on September 6, 2006 and celebrated nine years of marriage.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman who really enjoyed turkey and deer hunting with a bow. He also enjoyed tabletop gaming. He was passionate about coaching youth football for Northwestern High School.

Rick is survived by his wife, Toni; daughter, Samantha; his mother, Jann Brill, all of Superior; brother, Steve (Becky) Brill, Maple, WI; his maternal grandmother, Betty Hofberger, Neenah, WI; niece Ella Brill and nephew, Jake Brill, both of Superior, WI.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Brill in 1999.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1924 Wyoming Avenue, Superior and continue until the 3:00 PM funeral service with Pastor Darrell Kyle officiating.

Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Rick’s youth football team.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be applied to Rick’s daughter Samantha’s education.
