Richard F Seacotte

Richard F. Seacotte, 67, currently of Minneapolis, MN residence and former longtime Superior resident, died on December 23, 2013, in Minneapolis, MN following a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born on December 30, 1944, in Superior, WI, to Chester J. and Marie P. (Traans) Seacotte.

He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and was a member of the V.F.W.

Richard was an electrician with the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Additionally, he was a zealous Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed ribbing misguided Vikings fans.

Richard is survived by his son, Craig Seacotte; daughter, Shelley Seacotte; two granddaughters; ex-wife and friend, Mary Cochrane; brother Chester Seacotte; sister, Nancy Reasbeck; and his step-father, Robert Seacotte.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Per Rick’s wishes, graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery, Superior with Rev. Father Lee Flaherty, officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435 Honor Guard.

The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
