Rita Jo Bergstrom

Rita Jo Bergstrom, 45, Superior, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

She was born on May 21, 1968 in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Rita was an independent massage therapist, an occupation she thoroughly enjoyed.

She love gardening, animals, reading, woodworking and will be remembered as a great mother.

She is survived by her life partner, Sharon Castillo, Superior; one son, Andrew Lawrence; one daughter, Lexus Castillo; five brothers, Lee Bergstrom, Florida; Brian Pheil, Wisconsin, Jason (Ebony) Pheil, Michigan, Shannon (Sarah) Tuff, Michigan, James Tuff, Michigan, her father, C.C. Tuff, Michigan; an aunt, Nancy Trudelle, Wisconsin; one nephew, Cervonte Tuff; two nieces, Shannah and Castana Tuff and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence M. Bergstom.

Rita’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation, saving three lives.

Visitation will began at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at United Presbyterian Church, 229 North 28th Street East, Superior and continue until the 4:30 PM Memorial Service with Rev. Joel Huenemann, officiating.
