Robert L. “Bob” Johnson, 68, Gordon, WI resident and formerly of Superior, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 after a three year courageous battle with cancer at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
He was born on January 20, 1948 in Superior, WI.
He graduated from the former Central High School.
Bob worked for Lakehead Construction as a cement finisher for many years.
He married Sharon Trentor on July 15, 1989 and they celebrated twenty-six years of marriage.
Bob was a member of the Labor Union #1080 and the Cement Finisher Union He enjoyed trap shooting and was a member of the Superior Men’s Trap League. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Bob is survived by his wife Sharon; three sons, Jason, Jamey (Nicole) and Troy (Jolissa) Johnson; two stepsons, Mike and Mark (Jennie) Sickler; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Alayna, Paige, Mayzie, Maya, Kendra, Teah and Doug; two sisters, Marilyn (Bob) Gilbertson, Superior, WI and Debbie Severin, Mason, WI; one brother, Howard “Chipper” Severin and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Delores Korich Severin.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church and continue until the 5:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Will Mowchan.
Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.
