Robert “Bob” A. Silberg, 79, longtime Superior area resident, died on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 24, 1939 in Superior, WI to Alex and Wynonah (Glass) Silberg.
Bob worked for the School District of Superior as a Maintenance Engineer for over thirty years, retiring in 1998.
He married Carol Elmslie in July of 1959 and recently celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage.
Bob loved being on the water whether it was fishing, boating and sailing. He also enjoyed his farm equipment, was an avid reader and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters, Terri (Brent) Plonsky, Robynn Andren and Tammy (Michael Launderville) Kraemer; six grandchildren, Courtney (Mike) Paradise, Eric, Ryan and Derek (Jillisa) Kraemer and Alex and Justin Andren; four great-grandchildren, Jorja, Michael, Libby and Selah; one sister, Mary Ann; aunt, Virginia Bruger; several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ida Mae Strohman.
Per Bob’s wishes, no public services will be held.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at St. Luke’s Oncology Department and Middle River Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care Bob received and to Dr. Brian Riddle for his care over the years.
