Robert "Bob" Henry Westman

Robert “Bob” Henry Westman, 83, longtime resident of Superior, WI, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, MN. He was born July 31, 1932 to Henry John and Mayme J. (Anderson) Westman in Virginia, MN.

Robert married Josephine E. Crusher on October 19, 1957 and celebrated 49 years of marriage before her passing in 2006.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert was a graduate of Central High School in Superior, WI, class of 1949.

He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Superior, WI, the V.F.W. in Yuma, AZ and Superior, WI, and a member of the local Boiler Makers Union. He was employed by Frazier Shipyard as a Boiler Maker.

Robert is survived by his two daughters, Patti (David) Everson, Mosinee, WI and Marlys Zuber, Duluth, MN; three sons, Robert Westman, Madison, WI, Jack Westman, Superior, WI, Richard Westman, Duluth, MN; his grandchildren, Jason Everson, Eric Everson, Alyssa Zuber, Derek Zuber, Dylan Zuber, Madison Cronin, Kira Westman, Elizabeth Westman, Kevin Westman, Morgan Love, Jaden Westman, Alex Johnson, Zach Brosdal, Christian Grimaldi, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Josephine Westman, and his parents.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 320 North 28th Street East, Superior, WI and continue until the 1:00 PM funeral service with Pastor David Schoessow officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI. Military Honors will be accorded by Richard I. Bong, American Legion Post #435, Honor Guard.
