Robert L. Gruebele

Robert L. Gruebele, 81, Maple, WI resident, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth, MN. He was born on July 18, 1937 in Brule, WI to Edward and Martha (Leaf) Gruebele.

Robert was a truck driver for Grube Transfer for twenty years retiring in 1987. He married Carol Hill on June 3, 1961 and recently celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage. Robert was a 20 year member of the Teamsters Local #346. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and walking. He especially loved spending time with his wife and children.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol; seven children, Nancy Haring, Superior, WI, Peggy (Wes) Holmquist, Duluth, MN, Ricky (Angel) Gruebele, Washburn, WI, Dean Gruebele, Rockford, MN, Charlene (Jeff) Cullen, Blaine, MN, Robert Gruebele, Maple, WI and Mark Gruebele, Rockford, MN; nine grandchildren, Derek, John, Bruce, Kayla, Vanessa, Ashley, Charlie, Nicole and Ricky Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Alayah; one sister, Mary (Joe) Chramosta, Iron River, WI and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, June, Ida, Annie and Barb and brothers, Lawrence, Jack, Ron and Don and son-in-law, Rich Haring.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Maple Memorial Cemetery in Maple, WI.
