Robert R. Laflamme

Robert R. “Rob” LaFlamme, 24, Superior resident, died unexpectedly Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born on September 25, 1984 in Superior, WI to Robert “Bob” and Wendy (Suomi) LaFlamme.

He graduated from high school and was employed as a telemarketer for U.S. Superior Marketing. Rob was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being a telemarketer and was recognized for being the top salesperson for U.S. Superior Marketing in 2008. He was an avid downhill skier, basketball player and loved fishing.

Rob is survived by his mother, Wendy (Wendel Saye) LaFlamme, Bullhead City, AZ; his father, Robert “Bob” (Heidi Berthiaume) LaFlamme, Superior, WI; three sisters, Holly (John Sullivan) LaFlamme, Duluth, MN, Ashley (Ricky Smith) Bullhead City, AZ and Hailey (Ed Grymala) LaFlamme, Superior, WI; one brother, Nathan LaFlamme, Superior, WI; maternal grandparents, Walter (Doris) Suomi-Murray, Bullhead City, AZ; paternal grandparents, Jack (Ann) Lindberg, McGregor, MN and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy Suomi and his paternal grandfather, Robert J. LaFlamme.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 1:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Larry Goebel, Faith United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Rob’s brother and sisters, Nathan, Holly, Ashley and Hailey LaFlamme.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Robert LaFlamme Memorial Fund set up at Superior Choice Credit Union, 2817 Tower Avenue, Superior.
