Robert Micken

Robert Micken, 75, Superior, died Monday, March 7, 2011 in Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on May 15, 1935 in Trego, WI to Oscar and Eva (Peterson) Micken.

He was a longtime employee of the Superior School District.

Bob was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, a fifty-five year member of Superior Elks Lodge #403 and the I.L.A. Union.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He especially loved watching his grandsons participate in sports.

Bob is survived by one son Steven Micken, Superior; one daughter, Suzanne (Morry) Akinwale, Coon Rapids, MN; two grandsons, Akeem (Stacey) Akinwale, San Francisco, CA, Jubril Akinwale, Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Marcia (Daniel) Ryan, Trego, WI and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife of forty-three years, Betty on May 2, 1998; a sister Crystal Williams and his parents.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor David Schoessow of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bob’s family would like to thank the staff at Villa-Marina for their kind, compassionate care of Bob during his stay. It will always be remembered.
