Robert J. Olson

Robert J. Olson, 48, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 5, 2021, in his home, Superior, WI. He was born on, February 7, 1973, the son of Jon Olson, and Shannon Dun Leavy.

Robert graduated from Virginia High School and retired as a successful Barber.  He was an avid sports fan and had a special love for Hockey.  Robert’s children were very important to him and one of his favorite things was spending time with friends and family.  He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was very proud of his recovery.  Robert will be most remembered and missed for his sense of humor and his positive outlook upon life.  “SKOL, Vikings!”

Robert is survived by his wife, Catherine Olson, Superior, WI; two sons, Olaf Nelson, River Falls, WI and Hextall Olson; Superior, WI; 2 daughters, Oksana (Norwig) Nelson, River Falls, WI and Ava Olson, Superior, WI; 2 grandchildren, Hendrix and Yvie; sister Angela (Jim) Zylka, Wrenshall, MN; and niece, Jenny Zylka, Wrenshall, MN.

He is preceded in death by parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior, Wisconsin.
