Robert J. Seacotte

November 28, 1925 — May 13, 2020

Robert J. Seacotte, 94, lifelong resident, died peacefully, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Superior Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 28, 1925, the son of August and Irma (Krall) Seacotte.

Bob serviced his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II.

He was united in marriage to Alice and then to Marie Traans in September 1979, until her death in the fall of 1992. He and Marie loved to go to Moontide Condominiums in New Smyrna Beach, FL for vacations every year. He continued this vigil with his friend Irma Gaynor until her death. He loved to watch the Packers play, as well as party a little. In his early days he bowled and was a singles champ with a score of 699.

Bob worked for the Superior School District for many years before his retirement and had also worked for Superior Liquor. He was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Church.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Nancy (Joe) Reasbeck; stepson, Chester Seacotte; and eight step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife’s, Alice and Marie; stepson, Richard Seacotte; parents; and brother’s Norman and August “Gus” Seacotte.

In Bob’s last 2 ½ years of his life, Nancy and Joe took care of him by making sure he could live in his apartment until his death. He loved his weekly ride for pancakes and sausages and then to go down memory lane by car to see the places he lived and all the places he remembered in Superior.

Nancy and Joe also want to thank Helping Hands of Superior for their help with Bob and the Superior Rehab Center for allowing us to be with him before he passed.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Robert's name to the Douglas County Humane Society, 138 Moccasin Mike Rd., Superior, WI 54880.
