Rodney R. Olaf, 48, South Range, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2011 his home.


He was born December 1, 1962 to Raymond and Faith Elaine (Severin) Olaf.

He served in the United States Army National Guard. He was employed as an electrician for Stariha Electric.

Rodney was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Green Bay Packers and watching NASCAR especially Mark Martin. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing.   He will be remembered as a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Rodney is survived by two daughters, Rachel (Shawn) St. Germaine and Victoria Olaf, both of Superior; one son, Rodney Olaf, Superior; three grandchildren, Dominic, Carter and Hannah St. Germaine; two sisters, Renee (Bob Linn) Olaf, South Range, Roseann (John Ratzar) Olaf, Duluth, MN; four brothers, Raymond (Tammy) Olaf, Superior, Ronald (Sharon) Olaf, Paris, TN, Richard Olaf, Lakeside, Robert (Sheri) Olaf, Lake Nebagamon, WI; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM until the 2:00 PM Funeral Service on Thursday, June 23, 2011 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Ziems of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be John Ratzar, Robbie Olaf, Ed Krube, Shawn St. Germaine, Jim Standard and Ty Johnson.
