Roger R. Anderson

Roger Anderson (74) of Superior, WI passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St Luke’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born on June 3, 1949 to Ralph and Berniece Anderson in Superior, WI.

Roger graduated from Superior Senior High School and received a Business degree from UW-Superior. Following graduation, he briefly resided in Minneapolis, MN where he obtained his Insurance License. Roger then moved to Wiesbaden, Germany where he not only had the opportunity to sell insurance to military personnel overseas, but he also met his future wife. Roger married Anita Clausen in Germany on July 25, 1980 and recently celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Roger and Anita returned to Superior, WI in 1980 where he opened his business Insurance Services and raised his family. He was an active member of the community until his passing. He was a member of the former Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church where he served on the session and as a Deacon. He was a current member of the United Presbyterian Church. Roger was also active as a member of the Masons, the Elks, and the Shriners.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Berniece Anderson.

He is survived by his wife Anita; his children Frank Anderson, Superior, Christina (Michael) Madden, Sun Prairie WI; grandchildren Kylie Madden, Ryan Madden, Trent Anderson, Dejah Anderson; and great-grandchildren Saint and Sonoma Anderson.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at United Presbyterian Church, 229 N 28th Street in Superior. A Masonic Service begins at 10:15 am presented by Superior Masonic Lodge #236. Roger’s Memorial Service follows at 11:00 am with Pastor Brett Foote officiating.
