Ronald "Ron" J. Evans

Ronald “Ron” J. Evans, 76, Superior resident, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1940 in Little Falls, MN to Martin and Helen (Sandberg) Evans.

Ron served his country in the United States Army. He was an owner/operator at Dave Evans Transport for twenty-four years retiring in 2007.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law.

Ron is survived by one son, Robert (Stephanie) Evans, Superior, WI; three daughters, Peggy (Todd Hanson) Beck, Cambridge, MN, Barb Kern, Moundsview, MN and Kim Evans, Cambridge, MN; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Alex, Eric, Jeremiah, Matt, Bergandi, Nicole and Kyle; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marty Evans, Superior, WI, Jerry Evans, Sr., Lexington, MN and Dave (Dawn) Evans, Superior, WI and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Victor St. George of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in Carr Memorial Cemetery in McGregor, MN. Pallbearers for the service will be Ron’s grandchildren.
