Ronald J. Root

Ronald J. Root, 63, Superior resident, died Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 14, 1955 in Superior, WI to Erling and Betty (Beetcher) Root.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He married Laurie Parker on April 24, 1998 and they celebrated twenty years of marriage. Ronald worked in the Sales Department at Helzberg Diamonds retiring after thirteen years of service.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Laurie; five children, Ryan, Mitchell (Anastasia), Lars, Lucy and Leonardo Root; one grandson, Ronan; two sisters, Beryl (Peter) Pantaleo and Candace (Scott) Fitzgerald. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.
