Ronald "Sam" J. Rawn

Ronald “Sam” J. Rawn, 75, Superior resident, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Superior Rehabilitation Center. Ronald was born on February 6, 1943 in Superior, WI to Byron “Red” and Elaine (Goblirsch) Rawn.

He was a 1961 graduate of East High School in Superior and DBU.  He was self-employed as a tax accountant during his life.  Ronald was a military veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy.  He also attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Ronald is survived by three sisters, Kathleen E. Rawn, Superior, WI, Diane Rothery, Portland, OR and Nancy Willette, Superior, WI; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Elaine, a sister, Mary Pat Ahlf,  brother-in-law, Ronald Ahlf and a nephew, Bobby Ahlf.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery, in Superior with Rev. Fr. David Neuschwander. Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
