Ronald Dennis Wohlwend, 80, lifetime resident of East End Superior, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Superior, WI surrounded by his loving daughters.
He was born February 20, 1937 in Superior, the son of John and Blanche (Fuller) Wohlwend.
Ronald served his country in the United States Air National Guard.
He worked as a plasterer and was a member of the Plasterers Union in Duluth, MN.
Ronald enjoyed nature. He loved to hunt, fish and to walk on Wisconsin Point and photograph the wild life. He also enjoyed going out four wheeling on the Empire Trail, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Jeannettee (Rick Schachte) Schuler, Karen Wohlwend and Lisa (Steve) Paine, all of Superior, WI; son, Charles Wohlwend, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Andrea, Kevin, Chad, Samantha, Troy and Joe (Sara) Keppers; great-grandchildren, Matt, Alexis, Trevor and Keller; sister, Sharon Olson, Superior, Wi; son-in-law, Jim Keppers; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Princess.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eillen; daughter, Donna Keppers; grandson, Pvt. Ryan Wohlwend and brother, Jack Wohlwend.
A time of remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East Fifth Street, Superior.
