Ruby Olivia Lien

Ruby Olivia Lien was born in Superior, Wisconsin on May 22, 1925 and passed away on March 15, 2022 in Superior.  She was the youngest of three children born to Christian Martin Lien and Anna Alette (Ramstad) Lien.

She was predeceased by her parents, older brother Carl Raymond Lien (1990), and older sister Margaret (Margie) Eleanore Lien (2007).

She was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior as well as a member of the Sons of Norway. She was also a 1943 graduate of Central High School.

Ruby worked for the Ramapo Ajax Company as a railroad switch maker. Then she worked for the State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture until her retirement. Ruby is survived by her nephew T. Grant Lien and his wife Elizabeth of Bellevue, Washington. Grandnieces Erin Lien and Catherine Lien also of Bellevue, and Grandnephew Christopher Lien and his wife Samantha of Seattle, Washington.  She also leaves many cousins and friends, especially friends Virginia Deeds and Lisa Warring.

The family would like to thank the Management and Staff of New Perspectives for their care of Ruby for the last few years.

The family requests any memorials be made to The Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church at 1708 John Avenue in Superior and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service with Pastor Michelle Rowell officiating.
