Russell Howard Tollefson

Russell Howard Tollefson, 93, lifelong resident of Superior, WI died Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Duluth, MN.

He was born July 2, 1923 in Superior, the son of Andrew and Ida (Kunde) Tollefson.

Russell served his country in the United States Army Air Force as a Staff Sargent during World War II.

He worked as a clerk with Burlington Northern Railroad for thirty-four years before his retirement in 1983.

Russell was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Superior and the Burlington Northern Veterans Association.
He enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Superior.

Survivors include, his children that live in the Twin Ports area; grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris in 2002; brother, Clarence Tollefson and two sisters,
Irma Stenstrom and Irene Skomrock.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, MN
with Rev. David Schoessow officiating.
