Ruth M. Beckman

Ruth M. Beckman, 86, Superior resident, died on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice in Duluth, MN. She was born on February 6, 1931 in Maple, WI to John and Verna (Haukkala) Pellman.

Ruth was employed as a waitress at various restaurants for many years in Superior, WI and Two Harbors, MN. She married Kenneth Beckman on February 12, 1976 in South Dakota and they celebrated twenty-four years of marriage before his passing in March of 2000. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Duane (Janet) Kronlund, Two Harbors, MN and Daniel (Nancy) Kronlund, Sun City, West AZ; three grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon) Kronlund, Curtis (Becca) Kronlund and Amber (Brett) Donat and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest (Liz) Pellman, Maple, WI; two sisters, Irene Parenteau, Superior, WI and Edith Warner, Superior, WI.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Daryl Kronlund, second husband Kenneth Beckman, son Charles Kronlund, her parents, brothers Carl and George Pellman and sister Delores Gramer.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior and continue until the 11:30 AM memorial service with Pastor Michelle Rowell from Concordia Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors, MN.
