Ryan Wohlwend-Hardie, 24, Superior, died Monday, November 29, 2010 in Superior.
He was born on October 29, 1986 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Jeff Hardie and Karen Wohlwend.
He was employed as a communications specialist with the Minnesota National Guard.
Ryan was an avid chess player. He enjoyed wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Karen Wohlwend, Superior; his father Jeff Hardie, Madison Lake, WI; two brothers, Chad Hardie, Superior; Troy Rep, Superior; two sisters Crystal (Craig) Prior, Superior, Samantha Rep, Superior; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Eileen Wohlwend, Superior; paternal grandparents, Maurice and Dorit Hardie, Madison Lake, WI; aunts and uncles , Jeanettee (Rick) Schuler, Donna (Jim) Keppers, Charles Wohlwend, and Lisa (Steve) Paine; cousins, Joel Keppers and Andrea and Kevin Schuler; nieces and nephews, Cole, Trica and Charlesa Prior and a special thank you to longtime special friends, the Kiminski and Dailey families.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service on Monday, December 6, 2010 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.
Pastor Darrell Kyle of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon will officiate.
Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Park in Greenwood Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Craig Prior, Nick Kiminski, Alex Dailey, Hugh Lawson, Benjamin Scott, Dane Mattson, Kevin Schuler and Cole Prior.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Minnesota Funeral Honors.
