Sandra G. Anderson

September 11, 1942 — July 30, 2023

Sandra Grace Anderson, 80, resided in Lake Nebagamon, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at New Perspective in Superior, WI. She was born in Superior on September 11, 1942, the daughter of Samuel Norman and Evelyn Salomaki.

Sandra graduated in 1960 from Northwestern High School in Maple, WI. After graduating, she worked as a nursing assistant in home health care for many years.

Sandra was united in marriage to Richard Anderson on August 7, 1959. They spent 63 years together before his passing in 2022.

She was a member of the House of Hope Church in Lake Nebagamon.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Anderson, Arizona and Monica (Brent) Lucus, Forest Lake, MN; son, Richard Anderson, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kasey) Brunner, Missouri, Christina (Brock Strain) Brunner, Hudson, WI, Seth Anderson, Florida; and Natalie and Derek Lucus, Forest Lake, MN; great grandchildren, Brynn Brunner, Emma Brunner, Myla Brunner, Missouri; sister, Signa (Chuck) Groves, Washburn, WI ; sister-in-law, Bonnie Salomaki, Lake Nebagamon, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; father Samuel; mother Evelyn and stepfather Hugo; sister, Judy Norman; and brother, Roger Salomaki.

Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Her grandchildren describe her as the best grandmother ever. She was a lifelong Christian; learning, teaching and spreading the Good News.  Her Hope was in the Promise of Christ and looked forward to the day when God would hold out his hand for her and take her home.

The family of Sandra would like to thank you all for the love and support during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the House of Hope Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

A Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at House of Hope Church, 7184 S. Church Road in Lake Nebagamon, and will continue until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Chad Cracraft officiating.
