Scott A Gunderson

March 31, 1957 — October 26, 2014

Scott A Gunderson, 57, currently of Lake Nebagamon and previously of both Duluth and Superior, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on March 31, 1957 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Kenneth James and Flora "Avis" (Lewis) Gunderson.

Scott graduated from Denfeld High School in 1975.

In 1976 he graduated from Duluth Vocational Technical Institute with a diploma in welding. In 1999 he graduated from WITC with a degree in Mechanical and Computer-Aided Drafting.

He was previously employed by Mielke Electric Works in Duluth as an Electrical Maintenance Worker.

For the last 8 years, Scott was a stay-at-home dad for his youngest daughter Madison.

Scott enjoyed woodworking, music and old trucks.

The most important thing to Scott was taking care of his family.

He was a dedicated, loving and caring husband and father.

He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Donald Gunderson and Jim Gunderson.

Scott is survived by his wife, Billie Jo, three daughters, Madison "Maddie" Gunderson, Lake Nebagamon, WI; Stacy Gunderson, Lake Nebagamon, WI; and Trisia (Chad) Hart, Brainard, MN; one son, Adam Gunderson, Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren, Dylan, Hailey, Austin and Ethan; three sisters, Pat (Dick) Halverson, St. Louis, MO; Nancy (Jim) Westman, Duluth, MN; and Karen (Kevin) Riggs, St. Joseph, MI; two brothers, Ronald (Vickie) Gunderson, Portland, OR; and Bill Gunderson, Magna, UT; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Scott's life will take place at a later date.

The Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
