Scott Smetak

Scott Smetak, 47, of South Range, WI died unexpectedly on Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born September 30, 1971, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, to Les and Karey (Hallstrand) Smetak.  He lived in Phillips during his childhood, and still has many wonderful family members in the area.

Scott married Stefanie Wyrzykowski in Superior on October 17, 1998, and they recently celebrated twenty years of marriage.  He was a 1989 graduate of Marathon High School and also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He worked for Coldgon Products International for the past 10 years.

Scott is survived by his wife, Stefanie; one son, Seth and one daughter, Sabrina, all of South Range; parents Karey and Les Smetak, one brother, Donald (Dorrine) Smetak,one nephew, Andrew Smetak, all of Rib Mountain, WI; mother and father-in-law, Donna and Stephen Wyrzykowski; brother-in-law, Jake Wyrzykowski, all of Phillips, WI.

For the past 17 years, Scott has made his first job being the best father he could be. He had a passion for coaching, and volunteered countless hours for kids of all ages. His love of Star Wars, toys of all kinds, and video games, kept him forever a kid at heart. We will miss his patience, laughter, and intelligence every single day. He filled our lives with fun, and words can't express how much we loved him.
