Shirley A. Gorder

Shirley A. Gorder, 86, longtime area resident died peacefully Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Aspen Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Range, WI. She was born in Prairie du Chien, WI, April 9, 1935, the daughter of Herschel and Mary Magdalene (Didling) Tippery.

Shirley enjoyed her years spent as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, partner, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Hakkila-Johnson, Superior, WI; grandchildren, Holly Hakkila, Duluth, MN, Wayne (Jen) Hakkila, Austin, TX, Jaime (Randy) Liljegren, Esko, MN, and Lena (David) Hagen, Maple Lake, MN; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Abbigail, Lily, Ryley, Avery, Amara, Teagan, Sullaven, Zaden, Henry, and Silas; and her brother, Thomas (Jean) Tippery of Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her life partner, Duane Roethler; and brothers, Jerry and Delford Tippery.

Per Shirley’s wishes no public services will be held.
